Britons fined for drug possession, 14 arrested

Five British youths fined after admitting to being in possession of cocaine and ecstasy

Five British youths were today handed a hefty fine and reprimanded by the Court after admitting to being in possession of cocaine and ecstasy.

The accused were Craig Craig Lee Britton, 22, Joshua Elliot Hill, 23, Alec Lawson, 21, Ryan James Fisken, 20 and Reece William McAneny, 20.

Four of the accused were fined €500 after pleading guilty to being in possession of ecstasy while the fifth Briton was fined €650 after admitting to being in possession of ecstasy and cocaine.

The police said the Britons were part of a group of 14 held for drug possession last night.

The police said those arrested were aged between 20 and 35 years old and were found in possession of ecstasy and cocaine.

On Saturday, the police said 41 foreigners were arrested after they were found to be in possession of ecstasy and substances suspected to be cocaine and ketamine. The amounts found suggest that it wasn’t strictly for personal use.
