Labour approves third round of candidates

The Labour Party has approved a third group of candidates who will contest the next general election, following a decision by the party’s national executive.

The third group comprises 23 candidates, seven of whom are new.

The newly approved candidates are: Miguel Balzan (9th and 10th districts), Rosette Cassar (8th and 10th districts), Jorge Grech (2nd district), Eric Plumpton (3rd and 4th districts), Kaydem Schembri (5th district), Nigel Vella (1st district), and Shana Woods (2nd and 4th districts).

The remaining candidates approved in this third group are: Jo Etienne Abela (10th and 13th districts), Abigail Camilleri (13th district), Clyde Caruana (2nd and 8th districts), Edward Cassar Delia (2nd and 10th districts), Rosianne Cutajar (6th and 12th districts), Miriam Dalli (5th and 11th districts), Deo Debattista (1st district), Chris Fearne (3rd and 4th districts), Clifton Grima (9th and 10th districts), Franco Mercieca (12th district), Anton Refalo (13th district), Silvio Schembri (6th and 7th districts), Amanda Spiteri Grech (2nd and 4th districts), Romilda Zarb (11th and 12th districts), Alison Zerafa Civelli (2nd district).
