Prime Minister Robert Abela to contest on second and fifth district

Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Robert Abela has filed his nomination to be a candidate for the next general election.

The Prime minister will contest in the second and fifth districts. The same districts that he had contested in the March 2022 general election.

In the last general election, Abela had gotten 11,694 votes in the second district and 9,996 votes in the fifth district.

Prime Minister Robert Abela was welcomed by Electoral Commissioner Joseph Camilleri as he filed his nomination at the Electoral Office in Naxxar.

The next general election will be held on 30 May.
