[WATCH] Reporter | Justice minister Chris Said and Labour MP José Herrera

Typical political debate. They both boasted that their party is the more adapted for the country. I am wondering how Minister Said did not get dizzy going around and around in circles. What happens when a magistrate takes it upon himself and decides to ignore the law and gives his own interpretation of the law? What happens when a magistrate sets a man free when this man tried to run down another man with his car because he called him gay? What happens when a magistrate takes it upon himself to insult the whole village of Mellieha with his personal comments while sitting on the judicial bench? Has this magistrate been reprimanded at all and maybe made to apologize to the people of Mellieha? Of course not, judges and magistrates do not have to account for their infractions. After all they represent the law of the land and who are we to question their motives? That is a question that needed to be asked and answered.

The most refreshingly intelligent quasi-non partisan debate that I have witnessed in a long time with all the contributors showing the maturity that their respective position dictates. Well done MT and Saviour Balzan for this short but excellent production. Sad that it is still a question of 'what we are going to do in the future'.
