BA again rules against 'Bondiplus'
The Broadcasting Authority has once again ruled against PBS, Lou Bondi and his programme ‘Bondiplus’ for hosting an ‘unbalanced’ programme, this time when discussing Libya.
In a statement, the Labour Party has called on the Broadcasting Authority to take what it defined as “definite action” against the presenter and his programme.
It explained that the Broadcasting Authority has ruled once again over “unbalanced” programming by Lou Bondi during a discussion on the situation in Libya.
The programme, which was broadcast on March 7, saw the participation by invite of the foreign minister, the home and justice affairs minister and a university lecturer, however it did not extend any invitation to any spokesman or representative from the Opposition.
“The fact that the national broadcaster did not extend any invitation for participation to the Opposition – as obliged by Law – constitutes an unbalanced programme, and therefore the Labour Party’s complaint has been upheld,” the Broadcasting Authority said.
