438 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Malta on Tuesday.

Three persons died whilst COVID-19 positive in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 667.

The current tally for active cases stands at 8,979 after 590 recoveries were registered.

Through a legal notice published on Monday, COVID-19 self testing kits have been made available to the public.
