Updated | December 13 Avenue re-opened to traffic

In a press statement, the Police communication office (CMRU) said that December 13 Avenue is now open to traffic after it was closed following a traffic accident.

Two cars, a Merdeces Benz and a Seat Ibiza were involved in a head-on collision in the named street. The Mercedes, a taxi, was being driven by a 31-year-old man from Qormi and was carrying four passengers - Italian nationals aged between 50 and 52 years.

The Seat Ibiza, driven by a 21-year-old man from Luqa, was heading to Valletta from Marsa.

The driver and passengers of the Mercedes were taken to Mater Dei hospital.
