New traffic route connecting Qui-Si-Sana to Tigne’ Point

Cars driving through Qui-Si-Sana tunnel can now gain direct entry to Tigne’ Point.

For the convenience of visitors and shoppers, cars may now drive directly to the multi-level park without having to drive all the way round to Tigne’

“The Qui-Si-Sana tunnel access for vehicles has eased the traffic flow on the Strand side,” said Ben Muscat, Chief Executive Officer, Midi p.l.c.

“The tunnel entry route to the project from Qui-Si-Sana now makes it much more convenient for drivers to directly access The Point and Pjazza Tigne in order to park, visit the shops or dine at one of the restaurants or cafes in the area.”

The new slip road is part of the multimillion underground development at Tigne’ Point – a project that houses distributor roads, plant rooms, delivery bays and Sliema’s largest car park.

It also accommodates the recently inaugurated state-of-the-art heating and cooling energy production plant constructed and managed by Solutions and Infrastructure Services Ltd (SIS), a joint venture between Midi p.l.c and Siemens SpA.
