UHM hits out at nurses union
The Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) health services section has disassociated itself from comments made by the nurses and midwives union (MUMN).
In a statement, UHM rebutted MUMN's allegation that health minister Joe Cassar “prioritised” doctor’s wellbeing over that of other professionals in the sector.
UHM said that it had received a number of complaints from nurses and paramedics about the tone of MUMN’s statement.
The union noted that although talks are difficult with the Health Division, it was never the case that the minister, officials or the health department showed any disrespect towards nurses, paramedics or to any other profession.
UHM reiterated its disassociation from MUMN’s statement.
