Robert Abela, Alex Borg attend HYROX Challenge Malta

Robert Abela and Alex Borg attended the second day of HYROX Challenge Malta at Campus Hub on Saturday, as the event recorded its highest participation figures to date.

The fitness competition attracted over 1,100 athletes throughout the weekend, setting a new record for the local edition of the international event. Participants competed in Singles, Doubles, and relay categories, with the programme spanning two full days.

The Prime Minister and Opposition Leader observed several of the day's key races and met with both organisers and participating athletes during their visit. 

The event is hosted by Jungle Box Warehouse Fitness Studio in partnership with Garmin. HYROX, a competition that blends running with functional fitness exercises, has experienced rapid growth across Europe in recent years. Malta's version seems to be on the same upward trajectory, with this year's participation highlighting the increasing interest from local athletes.
