Malta-Milan flight cancelled amid Italian strikes
Nationwide strikes have shutdown Italian airports leading to the cancellation of a flight heading from Malta to Milan with other flights cancelled
A flight from Malta to Milan was on Friday cancelled due to a national strike that has caused chaos at the Linate and Malpensa airports.
The strike involves airport employees who are calling for protection, claiming inflationary recovery is insufficient while workload keeps increasing.
ITA Airways cancelled over a quarter of their flights on Friday as a result of the national strike.
A KM-Malta flight to Milan was scheduled to leave for Linate at 12:45pm but was cancelled along with its return flight at 5:35pm.
A flight to Rome scheduled for 2.20pm and a 3.55pm flight to Milan-Malpensa were both delayed.
