Motorcyclist grievously hurt after accident in Żabbar

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a car in Ħaż-Żabbar.

At around 11:30am on Saturday, police were informed about the accident on Triq Villabate.

Preliminary investigations showed that the collision involved a Suzuki Baleno driven by a 37-year-old woman from Xgħajra and a Yamaha motorcycle ridden by a 21-year-old Italian man.

A medical team was called to the scene and an ambulance took the motorcyclist to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to have suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
