80-year-old woman suffers serious injuries after being hit by forklift

An 80-year-old English woman suffered serious injuries after being hit by a forklift on Thursday morning.

At around 11am, the police were informed about the incident in Xatt Pinto, Furjana.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the forklift was driven by a 30-year-old man from Marsa.

An ambulance took the woman to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where she was certified as having suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
