Former Director for the Cleansing and Maintenance Division Ramon Deguara has been assigned as the new permanent secretary for the Lands Ministry under Owen Bonnici.
The minister said he had worked with Deguara in the past and could attest to his character, adding that he looked forward to a strong collaboration for the benefit of the Maltese and Gozitan people.
Bonnici announced the decision on Facebook on Tuesday, while also thanking his former permanent secretary, Kevin Mahoney, for his valuable support and assistance.
He thanked Mahoney for his dedication and professionalism throughout his career, noting his longstanding service to the public sector.
