76-year-old man dies after three storey fall in Gozo

The man was carrying out home maintenance when he fell three storeys into the property's internal garden

A 76-year-old man has died after suffering a fall in Triq Ta’ Ċenċ, Sannat, Gozo.

Police were informed of the incident at around 7:45am on Friday.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man was carrying out home maintenance while standing on a ladder approximately three storeys above the ground, when he fell into the building’s internal garden.

A medical team was dispatched to the scene, but the man was certified dead on location.

Magistrate Jean Paul Grech LL.D has been informed of the case and appointed a magisterial inquiry.

Police investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
