Transport Malta has introduced a new option for displaying the front number plate, aimed at vehicles where limited or no space on the front bumper makes it impossible to fit a standard registration plate.

The new front registration plate sticker is available as an alternative to the traditional front registration plate, but it will only be issued following an assessment by Transport Malta’s Technical Unit and approval by the relevant board.

Vehicle owners will be notified once their vehicle has been confirmed as eligible to apply for the sticker.

Following confirmation of eligibility, applications can be submitted at either of the following Transport Malta offices in Paola and Lija.

Applications are accepted Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 2:30pm. Applicants must complete Form VEH 19 at the office.

Once payment has been made, Transport Malta will notify applicants when the sticker is ready for collection.

The front registration plate sticker must be affixed to the inside of the windscreen and must remain fully visible and unobstructed to the driver at all times.

Transport Malta is encouraging eligible vehicle owners to follow the established application process and ensure the sticker is displayed in accordance with the applicable requirements.

Motorists seeking further information or assistance are advised to contact Transport Malta.
