Abela meets Trump, highlights ‘strong ties’ between Malta and US

Prime Minister Robert Abela met with US President Donald Trump during the United Nations General Assembly in New York two weeks ago.

On Wednesday evening, Abela shared a photo of himself, his wife, and their daughter with Trump, describing the meeting as an excellent opportunity to further strengthen the “strong ties” between Malta and the US.

The 81st session of the UN General Assembly was held at the organisation’s headquarters in New York City, bringing together nearly 130 heads of state and government.

“Every year, the UN’s General Assembly in New York gives us an important opportunity to build on Malta’s diplomatic relationship with other countries,” Abela said.
