A girl was seriously injured on Tuesday night, after overturning on a e-kick scooter in Żebbuġ

A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured after losing control of an e-kick scooter and overturning in Żebbuġ on Tuesday night.

Police were informed at around 10pm that assistance was needed on Mdina Road, Żebbuġ.

Officers arrived at the scene and established that the girl had lost control of the scooter and overturned.

She was given medical assistance before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where she was certified as having suffered serious injuries.

Duty magistrate Renata Farrugia LL.D. was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
