MaltaToday hacked as 'Lillu King#Libya' appears across website

MaltaToday’s website was hacked on Saturday afternoon as readers were unable to access articles.

Shortly after publishing a liveblog detailing the arraignment of John Cassar, readers could see a black banner at the top of this newspaper’s webpage reading “Lillu King #Libya.”

The website was back to normal after around an hour.

Across the website, the message “Lillu King #Libya” appeared sporadically in video titles as well.

A police report has been filed.
