TM throws away 27,000 items after mistake in logo
Transport Authority disposes of 12,000 letterhead and continuation sheets, 5,000 complimentary slips, 10,000 envelopes and 500 business cards.
Sunday newspaper Illum reported that 27,000 items had to be disposed of by the Transport Authority after a mistake was made in the logo. A spokesman for Transport Malta said that "the material was recycled and used internally".
Illum said that after the authority printed the material, it received instructions to change the name and the new logo, with the result that the already printed documents were no longer valid.
The authority had originally changed its name to 'MT' - Malta Transport - without even realising that its acronym and logo had become almost identical to MaltaToday's logo.
