Government negotiating lease of Family Court building

Building set to become Family Court trapped in Constitutional court case.

Justice Minister Chris Said revealed that negotiations were underway with the owner of the building in Strait Street to reach a lease deal for the Family Court.

However, Sunday newspaper Illum reports, the building in question is currently the subject of a constitutional case.

Government, the justice minister said, was engaged in negotiations with the owner to see that the case is dropped and a deal reached.
