Gozitan hospital refused ultrascan due to inauguration, parents insist

A family is insisting that two Gozitan Hospital employees told them they could not perform an ultrasound scan on their child because of the inauguration of the new Radiology Department.

Weekly newspaper Illum reports that patients who were refused service at the Gozo Hospital's radiology department have corroborated new claims by health employees who said radiology services were suspended pending the official inauguration of the department.

However, the Gozitan Ministry is denying the allegations, saying the inauguration would not have affected the hospital’s day to day operation.

What ever the ministry would say no one believes anything anymore what is said , by ANY ministry, the party in government has been caught too often lying. Only a couple of weeks back the Honorable Giovanna Debono was lauding herself, on a program on local TV, about the work she has done in Gozo nameing the hospital as an example and the equipment in question. Good for you honourable minister for the hardship you or your ministry inflicted on those in need of a service just for your own egoistic ends.
