Liquigas Malta ‘abusively’ held back from service for second day
Liquigas Malta said it has been held back from delivering a good service to its clients in the Sliema area for the second consecutive day, this morning,
“Distributors’ trucks are abusively blocking the exit gate at Qajjenza bottling plant, and obstructing Liquigas truck to go out and provide a decent service which in the Sliema district has been lacking for some time now,” a spokesperson said.
Liquigas said it expects that the authorities take action and ensure that its duty to provide a cylinders distribution service is protected.
Following serious complaints of bad service about the distributor of the Sliema district, last week, Liquigas started distributing cylinders directly with its own truck specifically and only in the Sliema district.
The company said it was left with no other option but to deliver its cylinders directly in this specific district so as to improve the quality of service to its customers.
“The gas distributors have repeatedly stated that their issue is with government and therefore Liquigas believes that it is unfairly targeted as it has no issue with the Distributors except that it is now being blocked from serving its clients. In fact, the distributors’ trucks are being loaded with Liquigas cylinders, notwithstanding these trucks are now also carrying its competitor’s cylinders,” the company said.
“This has been done because Liquigas wants to ensure its clients are constantly well served. Liquigas Malta has the right both to ensure that its clients are well served and to protect its commercial interests.”
