[Watch] Maltese ornithologist launches new book about breeding birds in Malta
Ornithologist Joe Sultana says political parties might not be too keen in taking decisions against the interests of hunters and trappers.
Having been a former trapper himself, Joe Sultana is today a bird enthusiast who for the last 50 years has been studying birds and campaigning for their protection.
Speaking with Saviour Balzan on Reporter, Sultana said that while political parties may understand that birds need to be protected, he agreed that politicians might remain a step behind for fear of losing votes.
Talking about the new book, ‘The Breeding Birds of Malta’, Sultana said the book also reveals trends about the birds that were discovered in Malta.
