Three Libyans critically injured in Sabratha clashes are were brought to Malta this evening for treatment at Mater Dei’s intensive therapy unit.

Among the injured is a six-year-old boy who is in critical condition.

On Friday, the Libyan authorities requested Malta’s help in assisting Libyans hurt in clashes against ISIS in the western Libyan city of Sabratha.

The government has offered to accomodate 10 patients at Mater Dei and St James Hospital. The clearance was given after carrying out the necessary security checks.
