The foreign affairs ministry and TradeMalta are planning a trade mission to Ghana for Maltese businesses between 26 and 28 July.

In a statement, the foreign affairs and trade promotion ministry said that around 20 Maltese businesses have shown interest in travelling to Ghana to explore trade opportunities in Ghana.

The mission will also coincide with a state visit to Ghana by President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

It was announced by foreign affairs minister Carmelo Abela during a press conference held to launch the first edition of TradeMalta’s Malta International Business Awards – that will be held on 19 November.

“Malta-based enterprises had not been given due recognition for their endeavours to export their products or services, or when they are striving to grow their business internationally”, Abela said. “These awards will, therefore, serve as an important platform to fill that lacuna.”
