No stranger to controversy: Labour backbencher Marlene Farrugia to be hosted on Reporter

Outspoken Labour backbencher Marlene Farrugia will be Monday’s guest on Reporter, barely a week after she took exception at the way her partner and former health minister Godfrey Farrugia “was repeatedly humiliated” by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

Marlene Farrugia herself is no stranger to political controversy as her tenure as a Labour MP has often been associated with her now-traditional Facebook outbursts while her criticism of the government’s citizenship scheme, the arrest of Norman Vella and the contentious Mistra permit saw her being dubbed as a “loose cannon”.

Alongside special guest Marlene Farrugia, Reporter host Saviour Balzan will scrutinise the Cabinet reshuffle and will delve in the resignation of Godfrey Farrugia.

Reporter on TVM will also analyse Marlene Farrugia’s take on the arrest of former TVHemm presenter Norman Vella, MEPA’s decisions and her stand on the government’s decisions, a year into its legislature.

The programme is produced and presented by Saviour Balzan, assisted by Jerome Caruana Cilia and the MediaToday newsroom.

Reporter is aired live every Monday at 6:55pm on TVM. The programme is repeated on TVM2 on Monday at 10:15pm.
