Raffaele Sollecito’s family reach out to Kercher family
Family of Raffaele Sollecito, Amanda Knox’s former boyfriend, reaches out to family of Meredith Kercher who was murdered in 2007.
Raffaele Sollecito, 27, was acquitted last week of the murder of Meredith Kercher following Knox’s highly followed acquittal the previous week.
The family of Knox’s former boyfriend said they wanted to offer to help the Kercher family to find out what happened to their daughter Meredith and finally “get to the truth”.
The Sollecito family believe Rudy Guede to be Kercher’s murderer, who is serving 16 years in prison for the crime but feel there are elements still missing from the whole story which need to be uncovered.
“We worked to get to the truth to free Raffaele and we are prepared to continue that search with them (the Kercher family) because the truth that is out there is a partial truth,” said Raffaele’s aunt, Sara Achille and wanted to help the Kerchers “achieve justice”.
