Malta Under 17s and Ireland share the spoils

Malta's Under 17 side held on to a well deserved 1-1 draw against Ireland after a bright start in their second match from the Under 17 Hungarian International Tournament

The maltese side played a very good first half during which they creating good goal scoring chances.

Malta's hard work paid off when they  took the lead through Aidan Friggieri, Rep of Ireland pushed forward and increased their tempo to try to get back into the match. The Maltese players held their ground and shook off the Irish challenges.

In the second half Malta could have doubled the score but Zach Brincat's shot hit the woodwork on the 44th minute. The Irish pushed hard for an equiliser but were denied by the good organised Maltese defence until Conor Livingstone managed to score the equaliser for the Irish.
