Mosta defeat champions Valletta

Valletta missed a great chance to take the lead on the 18th minute when they were awarded a penalty, after Adrian Borg handled the ball inside the area.

From the penalty spot Lateef Elford-Alliyu’s effort was turned into a corner by goalkeeper Omar Borg.

Mosta managed to take the lead on the 23rd minute. A long-distance shot by Bojan Kaljevic caught goalkeeper Nicky Vella by surprise with the ball ending at the back of the net.

Valletta were unlucky not to score on the 35th minute when Kooh Scicluna’s shot hit the woodwork.

Valletta continued to press to try to score the equalizer, but Mosta managed to handle the pressure and protect their lead and collect all three points.
