Tarxien survive with easy win over Pieta

Tarxien Rainbows were the first team to secure Premier League safety with an easy 3-1 win over an already relegated Pieta side.

Tarxien Rainbows ran out 3-1 winners against relegated Pieta Hotspurs as two goals from Firaz Aboulezz  and another one from Soly Mouhamed  made sure the Rainbows maintained their place in the top flight for atleast another season.

The Rainbows took the lead after 10 minutes after a brilliant individual effort from Firaz Aboulezz, who dribbled through past three Pieta defenders before hitting the ball home.

Tarxien Rainbows were totally dominant with their opponents having absolutely nothing to play for.  In fact Aboulezz doubed scored his personal second after the restart, with Soly Mouhamed ensuring their survival on the hour mark. Pieta squeezed in a goal with a quarter of an hour to go, as striker Claude Frances grabbed what was only to be a conciliation goal for the relegated blues.

Cue the final whistle, and the streamers and banners were out, Tarxien's season ended in safety having don more than enough to defeat their opponents tonight. The final score was 3-1 and it was time for the Rainbows the celebrate.
