Birkirkara prove too strong for Luxol St. Andrews

Birkirkara continued on their impressive form in Europe as they managed to beat Luxol St. Andrews 4-0.

The stripes took the lead after fourteen minutes when Cain Attard's cross found Dimitrov who headed behind Jake Galea.

On the 22nd minute, Vito Plut had a good chance, but Jake Galea saved to deny the Slovenian the chance to double the score.

Birkirkara lost another good opportunity as Jovic headed over from Dimitrov’s free kick.

Dimitrov had an excellent opportunity on the 72nd minute when he fired a shot from outside the penalty area that hit the post.

Despite missing these chances, the stripes managed to put the game beyond doubt in the latter stages of the match with three successive goals.

On the 82nd minute, Edward Herrera found Plut who finished behind Jake Galea from close range.

A minute later, Birkirkara scored their third goal as from a counter attack, Ryan Scicluna fired home.

Birkirkara sealed the issue three minutes into added time as James Brincat managed to beat Galea to score the fourth goal.
