The best chance of the first half came for Khedira. Alex Sandro’s cross found the German international whose header was saved by Handonovic.

On the other side, Icardi entered the Juventus box and unleashed a shot that clipped the post on its way wide.

In the second half, Frank de Boer’s men managed to put more pressure on the Bianconeri. However, against the run of play, Juventus managed to go ahead when Sandro broke down the left and delivered the ball towards Lichsteiner who finished home from close range.

Inter managed to score an equaliser two minutes later. From Banega’s corner, Icardi headed the ball past Buffon.

The home side continued to push forward and were rewarded when Icardi’s pass found Perisic who headed home to give his side a hard fought 2-1 win.
