After four minutes, Michael Mifsud found Federico Falcone who saw his shot going centimetres wide of the post.

The Citizens were close again two minutes later. Mifsud received the ball inside the goal area, but fired high from close range distance.

St. Andrews responded on the 11th minute. Enmy Pena Beltre sent a cross from the right flank that was met by Ivan Paz. However, Dziugas Bartkus neutralised his effort.

On the 52nd minute, Falcone attempted a header that ended up centimetres wide of the post.

A minute later, Michael Mifsud saw his shot being saved by Jake Galea.

Valletta had two other great opportunities in the additional time given by the referee. First, it was Leandro Aguirre who sent a shot that went slightly high. Immediately after, Jhonnattann Benites da Conceicao was denied by Galea as Valletta had to settle for a goalless draw.

Following this result, Valletta sit one point behind Birkirkara and three points behind Balzan. Both teams have a game in hand.
