Floriana and Bikirkara earned a point each after Vito Plut’s goal for the stripes was cancelled out by Nicolas Chiesa.

Birkirkara went ahead after seventeen minutes. From a corner, Srdjan Dimitrov sent a cross inside the penalty area that was met by Plut who finished past Haber.

Floriana pushed for an equaliser in the second half and were close on the 58th minute. Mario Fontanella went on the right flank and delivered the ball towards Ignacio Varela. The Argentine fired a shot that was blocked by Kopric. Rebound fell for Jurgen Pisani who saw his effort hitting the post.

Despite missing this chance, Floriana’s efforts paid off two minutes later. From Jurgen Pisani’s cross, Chiesa headed the ball inside the net to level the score.
