Floriana went ahead on the 63rd minute. Amadou Samb went past a defender and sent a pass towards Ignacio Varela. The striker fired a strong shot that gave Matthew Calleja Cremona no chance.

The greens doubled the score fifteen minutes from time. Varela hit a shot that was blocked by a defender. The ball fell for Amadou Samb who finished past Calleja Cremona once more.

Pembroke managed to reduce the margin of the score in the additional time given by the referee. Shola Shodiya sent a cross inside the penalty area that was met by Adrian Borg. The twenty-seven year old kept his composure and finished inside the net.
