A goal in each half earned Birkirkara a 2-0 win over Mosta.

The stripes went close on the 19th minute. Gonzalo Malan won possession and delivered the ball towards Srdjan Dimitrov whose conclusion ended up slightly over.

Birkirkara kept pushing forward and went ahead on the 25th minute. Frank Temile went on the right side and sent a cross inside the penalty area towards Vito Plut. The striker kept his composure and slotted the ball inside the net.

On the 58th minute, Dimitrov of Birkirkara managed to beat Yenz Cini, but his goal was ruled out for an offside.

However, Birkirkara scored their second goal seven minutes later. From a free kick, Dimitrov sent a cross inside the penalty area that was met by Predrag Jovic who finished past Cini.

The stripes went close to score again on the 68th minute. Following a cross by Cain Attard, Kavaun Atkinson nearly deflected the ball inside his own net.

Cini had to be alert on the 79th minute to deny Malan. The Uruguayan forward fired a shot that produced a good save from the Mosta goalkeeper.
