Hibernians kept the pace with Balzan after a solid 3-0 win over Gżira United.

The Maroons created the first opportunity after ten minutes. Moises Avila Perez sent a shot from distance that hit the wood work.

Hibs hit back few minutes later. From a free kick, Andrew Cohen fired a shot which produced a good save from Mauro Boerchio. Rebound fell for Clayton Failla who finished wide.

The Paolites increased their efforts and went ahead two minutes from half time. Cohen delivered the ball towards Jorge Da Silva Pereira and the latter headed home past Boerchio.

Mark Miller’s side doubled the score on the 62nd minute. From a free kick, Failla saw his effort hitting the cross bar. Momodou Salieu Jallow took hold of possession and finished inside the net.

Hibernians sealed the issue four minutes from time. The Gżira goalkeeper failed to clear the ball and Jallow chipped it past him to score his second goal.
