Ħamrun Spartans went another game without collecting maximum points after a 1-1 draw against St. Andrews.

 Ħamrun went ahead on the 16th minute. The St. Andrews defence failed to clear their lines and the ball fell for Karl Micallef. The twenty-one year old hit a powerful drive that gave Jake Galea no chance.

St. Andrews hit back a minute later. Nenad Balacevic sent a cross towards Enmy Pena Beltre whose header ended up slightly high.

On the 42nd minute, Leandro Motta Dos Santos of Ħamrun hit a strong shat that was well saved by Galea.

Danilo Doncic’s side equalised on the 49th minute. From a free kick, Ivan Paz sent a shot that was blocked by Andrea Cassar. Rebound fell for Enmy Pena Beltre who finished home.

St. Andrews nearly equalised on the 52nd minute. Kyrian Nwoko fired a shot that forced a good save from Cassar. From the rebound, Aidan Friggieri lost a golden opportunity as his shot from close range hit the woodwork.

On the 87th minute, Ħamrun’s captain Jake Grech sent a shot that was saved by Galea.

In the additional time given by the referee, Jake Grech served Manolito Micallef and the latter headed marginally wide.
