Pembroke climbed 11th in the table as they recorded a 2-1 win over Ħamrun Spartans.

Pembroke went ahead after just two minutes. From a free kick, Darren Falzon sent a cross towards Daniane Jawad who headed past David Cassar.

Six minutes later, Pembroke doubled their advantage. Karl Micallef fouled Christian Pouga inside the penalty area and the referee pointed towards the spot. From the eleven metres mark, Stevan Racic converted behind Cassar.

Things went from bad to worse for the Spartans on the 78th minute as they had Karl Micallef sent off after receiving his second yellow card.

Despite being a man down, Ħamrun reduced the margin of the score on the 83rd minute minute. Massimiliano Giusti hit a low shot from inside the penalty area that ended up inside the net.
