BOV Premier League | Senglea Athletic 1 – Valletta 5

Following a disappointing start to the season, Valletta secured their third successive victory as they registered a 5-1 win over Senglea Athletic.

The Maltese Champions forged ahead after five minutes. Santiago Malano’s cross from the right was met by Mario Fontanella who slotted the ball home.

Bojan Kaljevic doubled Valletta’s advantage on the 12th minute. The Monenegrin striker received a cross from Enmy Manuel Pena Beltre and headed the ball inside the net.

Kaljevic added another goal for Valletta two minutes later. The thirty-two year old player was played through by Fontanella before anticipating Matthew Farrugia and placing the ball inside the net.

The Citizens could not stop scoring as they scored again on the 26th minute. Following a cross by Joseph Zerafa, Fontanella saw his effort going past Farrugia.

Kaljevic completed his hat-trick on the 54th minute. The in form striker fired a thumping shot that gave Farrugia no chance.

Senglea scored a consolation goal two minutes from time. Matias Garcia delivered the ball towards Braian Volpini who finished behind Henry Bonello from close range.
