Hibernians registered their third successive win as they overcame Ħamrun Spartans 2-1.

The Paolites forged ahead on the first minute. Jurgen Degabriele’s shot stamped off the woodwork. Taylon Nicolas Correa Marcolino took the rebound and placed the ball inside the net.

Ħamrun equalised on the 5th minute. Triston Caruana’s cross was met by Caetano Calil who finished inside the net.

However, Hibernians scored the winning goal two minutes into the second half. Degabriele’s delivery from a free-kick was cleared in the direction of Joseph Mbong. The youngster fired a powerful shot that gave Sean Cini no chance.

Following this result, Hibs are now third in the table together with Valletta.
