Senglea scored the opening goal of the match on the brink of half-time. Ricardo Martin floored Leighton Grech inside the penalty area and the referee pointed towards the spot. Romani Tcanturia took charge of the spot kick and converted.

Braian Volpini doubled Senglea’s advantage on the hour mark. The Argentine player fired a shot from the left that gave Matthew Calleja Cremona no chance.

Senglea suffered a setback on the 80th minute as Augusto Rene Caseres was sent off following a foul on Karl Pulo.

St Andrews tried to take an advantage of their extra man and scored a consolation goal one minute into the additional time. Joseph Farrugia’s cross from a free-kick was met by Adrian Borg who headed the ball inside the net.

Following this result, Senglea are on level points with Qormi. Both sides obtained four points so far.
