FA Trophy | Tarxien Rainbows 5 – Zebbug Rangers 0

Tarxien cruised through to the next round of the FA Trophy as they registered a comfortable 5-0 win over Zebbug Rangers.

The Rainbows scored the opening goal of the match on the 20th minute. Anderson De Barros served Siraj Arab and the latter placed the ball behind Jurgen Borg.

Tarxien added another goal six minutes later. Ricardo Silva Faria’s delivery was met by Michele Paolucci whose low shot gave Borg no chance.

Poulucci scored Tarxien’s third goal on the 59th minute. Jens Wemmer passed the ball towards the Italian forward who finished inside the net.

Jose Borg’s side scored their fourth goal two minutes later. Wemmer went on a good run before lifting a shot behind helpless Borg.

Poulucci completed his hat-trick on the 65th minute. From a corner, Luke Grech’s delivery was met by the thirty-two year old who headed the ball home.

Tarxien were reduced to ten men on the 81st minute as Matthew Spiteri received his marching order after being shown his second yellow card of the match.
