Nathan Mifsud finishes ninth at European Youth Weightlifting Championships

Nathan Mifsud represented Malta at the European Youth Weightlifting Championships in Pristina, Kosovo, competing in the 65kg category.

Mifsud recorded a 96kg lift in the Snatch before successfully progressing to 100kg. In the Clean and Jerk, he opened with 117kg and went on to lift 122kg.

His combined total of 222kg saw him finish ninth overall.

Mifsud competed despite suffering from a gastrointestinal virus the day before the competition.

This result marks another achievement for the Malta Weightlifting Association and highlights the continued development of Malta’s young weightlifting talent on the European stage.
