Winter was almost non-existent and spring so far has been pretty warm, I hate to think what the summer is going to like, but until then we should make hay while the sun shines.

The spring is the perfect time to get outdoors and enjoy that warm sunshine. Pippa Mattei has some brilliant recipes for food that is ideal for picnics – delicious pies that can be kept warm and enjoyed in the great outdoors.

While you are out enjoying the sunshine take your camera with you and get some snaps. While the sunshine brings out the brightest of colours, it also creates shadows and squinty eyes. Check out our tutorial for how best to avoid these springtime pitfalls.
