Sarah Bonnici reimagines the sacred feminine in a one-night-only performance
The Archbishop's Delegate for Culture presents an evening of live music and video installation at the Malta Society of Arts, Valletta, on 9 October 2026 at 8pm
Singer-songwriter Sarah Bonnici performs solo, ahead of artworks by visual artist Charlie Cauchi in a stripped-back concert. Sarah, performing live on piano and fragments of sacred imagery, will explore how the sacred feminine continues to persist in culture today.
BIBLICAL proposes a clash of disciplines in a repertoire of popular, alternative and contemporary music. The programme maps the biblical stories of Eve, Salome and Bathsheba onto the music of artists including FKA twigs, Olivia Dean and Florence + the Machine, drawing unexpected lines between ancient narratives and today's songwriting.
Sarah Bonnici is one of Malta’s strongest performers, whose vocals rocked the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, as Malta’s representative. Charlie Cauchi is one of three artists who is currently representing Malta at La Biennale di Venezia.
The project continues the Archbishop's Delegate for Culture's commitment to celebrating local talent, bridging faith with cultural practice and engaging diverse audiences.
