Despite this, Destiny seems to be on her way to bigger things, in hopes that she secures a recording contract with Cowell himself, who only had words of praise towards the singer’s immense talent.

A few days ago Destiny and her mother Alexia were invited to speak up on ITV’s popular morning talk show ‘This Morning’. Destiny spoke about a phone call which she received from the president Marie – Louise Coleiro Preca.

Speaking to Destiny, she said that “the idea of auditioning in front of someone as critical as Simon Cowell was very nerve wrecking indeed,” she adds “I was told to wait for quite a long time till I finally made my way up on stage, so the adrenaline was kicking in every minute, till I finally sang Aretha’s Think”.

The Britain’s Got Talent semi – finals are set to begin on ITV on Monday.
