Following his sold out shows in Malta, Maltese comedian Steve Hili is taking his stand up show Manaconda onto the international comedy circuit, with performances in Vienna, Salzburg and Prague this November, followed by a planned Athens date in February.

The tour begins with a warm-up in Vienna on 5 November, followed by a full show in Salzburg on 6 November and another full show in Prague on 7 November.

Manaconda is an unapologetically high-energy hour that touches upon growing up in Malta, sex, relationships, becoming a dad and getting older. The show premiered to packed audiences in Malta and combines personal storytelling, audience interaction and Hili's trademark raunchy but razor-sharp comedy.

Hili is no stranger to international stages. He was the first Maltese comedian to perform a one-hour solo show in London's West End, has performed at the Comedy Store in Sydney, Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and has been seen and heard on BBC, Discovery, and Sky amongst others.

And now he is taking his show on the road. “I want to prove that Maltese humour can travel,” says Hili. “Malta is tiny, but fortunately, my ego isn’t! And I want to show that Maltese comedy belongs on international stages too.”

And Hili is encouraging Maltese audiences abroad — and anyone looking for an excuse for a European weekend — to make a trip of it. “Experience some of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Then watch a loud sweaty Maltese man get lower the tone completely!”
