The fields around Mount Carmel Hospital will come alive again this year as some famous faces lend their talents to raise money for the hospital's projects.

The fields surrounding the hospital will be replacing the streets of Jerusalem on that fateful night and the audience will become part of the drama as Vermiglio Theatre Productions bring the story to life for the second year running.

“The way we are presenting the play is intended to make those who attend feel as if they were part of the crowd witnessing the last two days in the life of Jesus prior to his resurrection. It is for this reason that we have not made any use of amplification throughout the walk”, said director Alan Fenech who is also playing the role of Jesus in the play.

The cast includes a number of established actors whose faces are familiar to those who love following local theatre and television productions. In the main roles one can find actors of the likes of Zep Camilleri, John Suda, Peter Triccas , Anthony Ellul and many others.

The play will be held on Tuesday 15 April at 8pm and on Wednesday 16 April at 8pm. Entrance is €5 (children under 12 years of age enter for free) with all proceeds going towards the projects undertaken by Mount Carmel Hospital in aid of its clients.
